Yole
A 17 ft replica Zulu fishing boat based on the ''Lloyd George'' - a boat that was built in 1905 and worked out of Rosehearty. Our Yole named '' Pride of Rosehearty'' was built by club members between 1998 and 2002. It is clinker built and has a 100 sq ft dipping lug sail. Auxiliary power is by oar. Crew of 3.
Lugger
An 18 ft 9 in Drascombe Lugger named ''Viola''. It has a grp hull and a gunter yawl sailing rig but can be fitted with a small petrol outboard engine. It had sustained damage to its mast and to one side before it was donated to the club. The damage has been repaired and is currently our boat which gets most used.
St Ayles Costal Rowing Skiff
''Grace'' was built by members between 2023 and 2024. It is glued clinker plywood construction and is rowed by four people and steered by a fifth.
Motor Boat
''Rosehearty Adventurer'' is an ex-navy motor launch. It was in very poor condition and was donated to the club in order that it be restored and preserved. The restoration was completed by club members. It is clinker built and has a 10 hp inboard diesel engine.
RIB
It is 3 metre Ribeye inflatible boat wih a 15 hp Yamaha petrol outboard engine, used mainly for escort/rescue work.
Highlander 16
'''Freya'' has a 16 ft plywood hull with a gunter sloop sailing rig. Donated to the club it has the potential to be a valuable boat for larger sailors.
Mirror Miracle (2)
These boats are 12 ft long, of plywood construction and have Bermuda sloop sailing rig. They are quite nippy boats suitable for a crew of 2 experienced youngsters or agile adults.
Topper (4)
These single crew plastic boats are ideal training boats for youngsters or extremely agile and not too big adults who do not mind getting wet. They are 11 ft 2 in long and have a cat rigged Bermuda sail.
Optimist (4)
These boats were built of plywood by the club. They are 8 ft long and have a single spirit-sail. They look as if they have come from a chest of drawers but are stable and suitable for small sailors.
Peapod Sailing/Rowing Boat
This boat, about 11 ft long, was designed by Ian Downie and built by the club. It is built of clinker ply and has a standing lug sail. It is easy to row and its narrow beam makes it fast under sail, if you can keep it upright.
Other Boats
The club also has a number of other small boats, including two small ROWING BOATS of grp and timber construction and an AVON INFLATABLE DINGHY used to ferry sailors to boats which are kept at morrings.
